Lexington Endodontist - Anna Smothers Dressman DMD MS Central Kentucky Endodontics
Central Kentucky Endodontics, located in Beaumont Centre Lexington, provides treatment limited to the specialty of Endodontics. This includes root canal treatment, endodontic retreatment, and endodontic surgery which allows a patient to save their tooth. Endodontic services also include treating cracked and broken teeth, diagnosing and treating problems with the roots, and replanting teeth which have been knocked out or extracted. Sometimes this will also involve treating infections, inflammation and swelling.
Our mission is to strive for excellence in the clinical practice of endodontics and to provide exceptional patient care in the most efficient and effective manner.
Our approach utilizes the latest in Endodontic technology including digital radiography, surgical microscopes, cone beam (3D) imaging, and ultrasonic irrigation coupled with a kind and caring support team. For our patients with dental anxiety, we offer oral sedation and nitrous oxide (laughing gas).

Dr. Anna Smothers Dressman D.M.D, M.S.
Dr. Anna Smothers Dressman, a native of Lexington, KY, received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky. She then graduated in the top of her class with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College Of Dentistry.
Dr. Dressman completed an externship in an emergency care clinic prior to working as a general dentist for two years. She then went on to The Ohio State University to complete an Endodontic Fellowship, where she was a full-time faculty member in the Pre-Doctoral Endodontic and Emergency Clinics before earning her Endodontic Specialty Certificate and Masters of Science degree. The Endodontic Department at The Ohio State University pride themselves on their research and depth of knowledge with local anesthetics and pain management. Dr. Dressman researched the anesthetic efficacy of articaine infiltration(s) in the incisive/mental nerve region. She has since been published in the Journal of Endodontics, the preeminent journal of her specialty.
Dr. Dressman has worked as an endodontist in the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio area for 5 years prior to returning home to Lexington, KY. She has also served as a part-time faculty member in the University of Kentucky College Of Dentistry Pre-doctoral Endodontic Clinic.
Dr. Dressman has maintained professional affiliations as a Specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, and with the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, SPEAR faculty member, the Bluegrass Dental Society and the Kentucky Association of Endodontists.
In her free time, Dr. Dressman enjoys traveling, reading and she considers herself an amateur foodie.
As a Lexington based Endodontist, Dr. Dressman enjoys serving Lexington and Central Kentucky's endodontic needs.
Dr. Justin Kindler
D.D.S., M.S.D.
Dr. Justin Kindler is originally from Alabama, yet proud to have returned to Central Kentucky. He graduated from Berea College (Berea, KY) in 2005, with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and was inducted into the Psi Chi honor society, an academic honor for psychology students who show great promise and maintain a high GPA. In 2013, he graduated from West Virginia University with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was recognized by the American Academy of Oral Medicine for his interest in treating patients with complex medical histories.
After dental school, Dr. Kindler completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at East Carolina University, where he was first exposed to complex endodontic procedures and received additional training in all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Kindler completed his specialty training in Endodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry where he also received a minor in Oral Pathology and researched a novel method of root canal disinfection using electromagnetic pulses.
Dr. Kindler was in private practice for 3 years in Daytona Beach and Port Orange, Florida.
He maintains professional affiliations as a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association.
In his free time, Dr. Kindler enjoys spending time with his wife and children. They enjoy travelling and especially love visiting Disney World. Since meeting over 14 years ago in Berea, Dr. Kindler and his wife have dreamed of settling in Central Kentucky. Dr. Kindler is proud to join Dr. Anna Dressman and to serve the endodontic needs of Central Kentucky area.
